Recently, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province announced the list of pilot projects for the construction of "Morning Star Factories" in the digital economy in 2025. A total of 17 enterprises in Wendeng District were successfully selected, ranking first in Weihai City in terms of the number of recognized enterprises. Up to now, there are 39 pilot enterprises for the construction of "Morning Star Factories" in Wendeng's digital economy.
