Wendeng is located in the hub position of Weihai city. The total road mileage is 2449.3 km and 83.2 km are national road, 309.2km provincial road, 261.8km county road, 186.9 town road, 1608.2km village road, 221.2 km high grade road over grade 1(including 73.1km expressway). Rongcheng-Wendeng expressway was put into use in the end of 2015, Wendeng-Laiyang expressway will be build very soon. Speaking of railway, Taocun-Weihai railway are already available, total length is 50.15km. Qingdao-Rongcheng intercity railway has Wendengdong station and was into operation since end of 2014. Port railway will soon be built. In terms of aviation, Weihai intl airport is located in Wendeng. In ocean transportation, Nanhai new port phase one will be put into operation and phase two jetty is under construction. Currently, bus transport system is well developed, now 181 buses are used for transporting passengers, and 33 are used for Nanhai new area. 313 Taxis, 39 for Nanhai new area and some other customized bus routes are also established.
